She stood in the doorway…

It was by faith that Jala Bhai stood in front of the door,

directly facing the mob that came to threaten this group of Jesus followers. "Why should I reconvert? Did your God die for you?" she said, full of courage, unwavering in her conviction that what she found was true and worth dying for.

She continued.

"You came to kill me? Then kill me!"

The smile on her face shook them to their core. They could barely believe this was happening - a woman was representing the group and speaking to them in this way? This woman was one of two things: out of her right mind, or telling the truth about her God.

Her husband stood by and watched this whole scenario unfold. It was almost unbelievable - was this even his wife? The wife that not too long ago barely spoke a word unless she was spoken to. This was surely not the same person. He knew that Jesus had changed her, but this boldness was do deep within her that he had to call it a miracle.

She encountered Jesus and nothing has been the same.

"I don't know what to say." said J, a male leader working in the same area as this woman. "They (the women) are so strong. They fight with the police, with the village leaders, and with the politicians."

We honor you today Jala Bhai, woman of valor.
